These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchase of and access to online courses, instructional materials, recordings, community features, and related services provided by Herringbone Bindery ("Herringbone Bindery," "we," "us," or "our") through Thinkific.

By purchasing a course, creating an account, accessing course content, or otherwise using our courses or community, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not purchase or access the courses.

1. Online Courses
Herringbone Bindery provides online bookbinding courses and related educational materials through Thinkific and other third-party services that may be used to deliver the courses.

Our courses are provided for educational and instructional purposes. Courses may include video lessons, demonstrations, written instructions, downloadable handouts, photographs, diagrams, and other educational materials.

All courses are provided in English.

2. Course Access Period
Unless otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase, access to a purchased course is provided for six (6) months from the date of purchase.

Course access will automatically expire six months after purchase. Access does not continue indefinitely and will not automatically renew.

Students are responsible for completing the course and downloading any permitted materials they wish to retain during their six-month access period.

Herringbone Bindery does not guarantee that course access will be extended after the six-month period has expired.

3. Community Access
Creating an account and purchasing a course will provide access to the Herringbone Bindery “Bindery Talk” community, where members may interact with Herringbone Bindery and other students, participate in discussions, and share their work and experiences.

Community access is available to members independently of the six-month course access period, unless access is terminated in accordance with these Terms or otherwise stated by Herringbone Bindery.

Herringbone Bindery reserves the right to moderate the community and to remove, restrict, suspend, or terminate the community access of any member who violates these Terms or engages in inappropriate or disruptive behavior.

Examples of inappropriate behavior include, but are not limited to:

Herringbone Bindery may remove content that violates these standards and may suspend or terminate a member's community access where appropriate.

4. Personal Account and No Account Sharing
Each Thinkific account is intended for one individual only.

You may not share your account, username, password, login credentials, or course access with another person. You may not allow another person to access or use courses purchased through your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.

If Herringbone Bindery determines or reasonably believes that an account has been shared or used by multiple individuals, Herringbone Bindery reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account and/or course access without a refund.

You may not purchase a course on behalf of another person for the purpose of allowing that person to use your account, unless Herringbone Bindery has expressly authorized such an arrangement.

5. Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed at the time of purchase are subject to change. Any price change will not affect a purchase that has already been completed.

Payment must be successfully received before access to the applicable course is provided.

Transactions may be processed through Thinkific and/or third-party payment processors. Your use of those payment services may also be subject to their respective terms and conditions.

6. Refunds and Cancellations
All sales are final. Except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law, Herringbone Bindery does not offer refunds, credits, transfers, or exchanges for purchased courses.

Where Herringbone Bindery makes handouts, PDFs, templates, or other materials available for download, you may download and retain those materials for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may print such materials for your own personal use.

You are responsible for determining whether a particular technique, tool, material, adhesive, machine, or process is appropriate and safe for your circumstances.

You should use appropriate safety equipment and follow the manufacturer's instructions for any tools, equipment, or materials you use.

Herringbone Bindery cannot supervise your work or determine whether your particular working environment, tools, equipment, materials, or techniques are safe.

11. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
Participation in bookbinding activities may involve inherent risks, including risks associated with sharp tools, blades, cutting equipment, presses, adhesives, chemicals, machinery, paper, bookbinding materials, and other equipment or processes.

You voluntarily assume responsibility for your own use of tools, equipment, materials, and techniques demonstrated or discussed in the courses.

Individual results will vary depending on experience, practice, materials, tools, technique, environment, and other factors.

Course examples and demonstrations are provided for instructional purposes and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of the results you will achieve.

13. Course Content and Changes
Herringbone Bindery continually develops and improves its educational materials.

Herringbone Bindery reserves the right, at its discretion, to update, modify, replace, reorganize, add to, or discontinue portions of course content while a student's six-month access period is active.

Changes may include modifications to lessons, videos, demonstrations, handouts, downloadable materials, course structure, or other educational content.

Herringbone Bindery does not guarantee that a course will remain identical to the version that existed on the date of purchase.

Course access requires an internet connection and compatible hardware and software.

Herringbone Bindery delivers its courses using Thinkific and potentially other third-party services. Herringbone Bindery is not responsible for temporary interruptions, outages, technical failures, compatibility issues, or changes to third-party services that are outside Herringbone Bindery's reasonable control.

You retain ownership of your original Student Content.

However, by submitting or posting Student Content to the Herringbone Bindery community, you grant Herringbone Bindery a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, modify, adapt, and otherwise use that Student Content for Herringbone Bindery's business and promotional purposes, including on websites, social media, promotional materials, advertisements, and other marketing channels.
