Non-Adhesive Series //  Link Stitch Binding

The Link Stitch is a sewing pattern that has been used for multi-signature text blocks in bindings since as early as the 2nd century! This course is part of the Non-Adhesive Series which explores binding structures that require no glue on the spine. While the link stitch is a pattern that can be done in a variety of ways, this workshop will explore one pattern with two different ways to begin. This workshop will also explore two variations for the covers: two individual paper covers that leaves the spine exposed and one single piece of paper that wraps all the way around the binding hiding the spine.  Expect to learn best practices for uniform sewing, accurate folding and precise punching with or without a cradle. Find the full list of tools and materials required for this workshop below. After registering you'll have access to this workshop for 6 months. Perfect for any skill level including beginners.
